Over...

Exams are over A feeling of relief and freedom... An unique feeling I would call. Like the father who waits outside the delivery hall and the nurse walks out to say "Congratulations"... Like the moment when you open your half shut eyes to realize that the bird has flewn away from the heavily trafficked road... Like the moment when you slipped your valuable flowervase and caught it at the right moment and dint hear that clinging nasty noise... Like the moment when you see the scribbling published in the journal for the first time of your life... Like the moment when you had finished all the laps in the pool for the day... Like the moment everytime you go up in the giant wheel with the rrrrring in the heart and come down with the rrrrring in the stomach and get the cycle of adrenaline rush everytime... Like the moment for a non-vegetarian to find his fish completely dead (instead of cutting it half alive)... It was such a relief to see these exams getting over. I dint relax yesterday much, except for gossiping the whole afternoon with my class guys about the semester. Today afternoon had two indian guys as guest for my lunch - I got up so late that I hurriedly prepared brinjal sambar, tomato-garlic rasam, cabbage poriyal (curry), curd (hee hee) and some fruit-chocolate dessert in one hour. My cooker is so small that I had to cook rice in two shots. Luckily I had some time inbetween to decorate the table and keep the music in line to play during the get together. They seem to have enjoyed it. In the night, Yesssss... We had a party in the top most view bar of Singapore - The New Asia bar in the seventy first level of Swissotel Stamford. Excellent view of whole singapore was very catchy from there. Just before that I attended the evening dance of the Egyptian cultural group - Al Tanoura from Egypt who performed in Esplanade. They were dancing in such a mesmerizing way that I finished all my two rolls. So there was no film to shoot inside the bar - the Singapore night lights from such a top view. Only five people got together. And unfortunately two of them DO NOT drink and we are in the bar... I had the Lycheetini (Lychee, Vodka Martini) and Equinox blue (equinox is the name of the restaurant attached with the bar) - it is also the melon, vodka, sprite mix. Since it was happy hours, the rates were quite cheap and it was such a pleasant evening. I was quite impressed with his travel experiences.I spoke about the traditional silk industry of Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu - The cooperative societies and their functioning; RmKV's records and how big showrooms make money out of small designers in Kanchipuram and all that stuff; Arun spoke about Environmental Engineering; Selvam was very worried about his cellphone camera lens; Shobha hardly spoke, feeling guilty about the economics notes inside her handbag. We identified all the possible buildings from the top and it was beautiful and romantic view from there. I might go there sometime in Dec, since I am a big fan of Vodka and their blends and flavours are quite good :-D We then went to Komala vilas for dinner; I had masala rava thosai, idly and vada; ofcourse with Tea :-) It was such a nice feeling to have south Indian food after Vodka (cultural experience ;-) I shall post the Egyptian dance pics soon and will write abt their moves in detail in my next post :-)
