Well, I actually misunderstood that there was a discussion, but there wasnt any, it was just a topic to think over and discuss :-(
Anyway he has points against this view, he says that technology will select human beings, machineries will cater all needs, environmental degradation will peak and someday might mute out to nothing.... Still life will go on.
I find it difficult to rationalize or imagine such a thing, but still it proves the statement that the equilibrium cannot be achieved ! and thus it is not actually against the view !
Righto,... my battery is down and got work for tomorrow !

oh, you are true it is not against the stt, but he argues that there is no need to actually discuss this kind of stuff itself, btw, that "he" was not a professor, "he" was one of my friends !
